there are WAY too many. any suggestions. I assume low recoil cycles nicely in an M4 since it seems to eat anything?

I got Winchester Ranger 00 (low recoil) that was great in my M1- so I'd bet the gas-op M4 would eat it up just as nicely.

I bought some of that at ammo brothers and took it out and it didn't cycle reliably in my M4. Its weird I've shot birdshot and it cycled reliably other birdshot not so much. I also had on hand some military grade 00 I bought from midwayusa http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=857119 and that cycled 100 round flawlessly.

Before you make a big purchase of low recoil buckshot make sure it cycles 100% like I said some birdshot works 100% some doesn't. I didn't even know the fiocchi was low recoil until I opened the box only one thing is more frustrating to be on the firing line with a 1600 dollar shotgun that doesn't go bang everytime and that's if you really need it to go bang everytime.

+1 on the Winchester 'military grade' 00 buck. It runs through my guns very well but doesn't pattern for spit. I bought a bunch of it and it's strictly training ammo IMO.

All of the Federal buck loads have given good performance when I've tried them, got an order going in for some more shortly as it's time to rotate / replenish.

As an aside... Wal-Mart also quite often has Remington buck and slug loads on the shelf, no shipping charge and no waiting for UPS. Pick up a couple packs and see how they run through your gun and you might be pleasantly surprised.

The Federal "Flight Control" Buck is the best thing out there, IMHO.

The Nobel Sport Police 00 Buck patterns very well considering that it is somewhat inexpensive.

buy a few of a lot of brands and see what works best.

check they will function and what batterns best out of your m4.

Yeah, in my experience the Federal with Flite control patterns much much tighter than any other buck. And it should function fine in your M4. I don't have an M4 but I've seen people run that ammo in a M4 and it worked well.

That being said, don't necessarily assume that a super tight pattern is what you want. It kinda depends what your application is and what distances you expect to shoot at.

Re: WalMart, the price is good and no shipping, but then you do have to pay CA sales tax so keep that in mind.
