Heatshield problems

So i got my heatshield today i followed the instructions but it doesn't want to slip over the lip at the end of the barrel.It fits if i don't slip it over the lip but the problem is it slides with a little tug.So im thinking that when i fire it its gonna slide down the barrel.The thing is pissing me off to be honest I already scratched the barrel up

I recently put a heatshield on my persuader, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. "Lip" at the end of the barrel? For me, the only pain in the @r$e was using clamp pliers and a socket and hex all at the same time to tighten it down. What exactly is not happening with your install? Remember to use the plastic spacer that came with it to get your bearings whilst installing, on your model, that spacer should be uncut and press up against the barrel's mag connection.

yeah the end of the barrel, It didn't come with a spacer,just came with the heat shield and some nuts and bolts http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/SHT030-1.html
