Mount a Picatinny Rail On Barrel?

Has anyone mounted a picatinny rail on a barrel for an 870 (or similar)?

I want to put red dot on the barrel so the zero stays the same so I can swap out barrels for other uses. Thanks.

You can buy a cantilevered barrel with a scope base, but I don't know about 1913 rail.

Im sure some "zombie killer" guru can chime in.
There are quite a few rails for the 870 now, but other than a cantilever mount I dont think your going to find one that mounts directly to the barrel rather than the reciever.

Yeah I've seen those barrels but at 300 I might as well buy a second shotgun lol
