How to align Aftermarket High Visibility Beads

I bought an aftermarket high visibility bead. I installed the correct size and it screws in fine but the instructions says to install it with the "larger cone end to face the shooter." When its screwed all the way in, the small end faces the shooter. When I unscrew it a bit for the "larger" end to face the shooter, theer a small gap between the barrel and the base of the sight. Should I just use locktite and no screw it in all the way? Thanks

You may have a few options here,

the first is to get a shim or crush washer to put between the bead and the gun,

if the high vis bar is able to be removed, its possible that it was just assembled backward at the factory, pop it out and swap it back in.

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them how to go about dealing with it, locktight is great stuff, but I wouldn't trust it to hold in this situation, you'll likely loose the sight after a few trips out.,

get the factory reccomended fix, and if it doesn't work, they'll probably send you a replacement.

It seems like a factory screw up during the assembly process.

    keep the peace.

Is that the one from Wal-Mart? Looks like it because I bought one before. Definitely a POS! I got it aligned right by not screwing in the end of the screw/bolt/whatever that goes into the sight (making the end that goes into the barrel longer). Used locktite, and after one round of 00 buck, it started unscrewing...after the third round, it fell off. Then I had the trouble of getting the screw out of the barrel.
