Question about Mossberg 500 persuader/cruiser

This is my first shotgun so i dont know much about them,I was wondering if i was able to put a breecher choke on mine,it doesn't have threads on the inside of it.Can i put a choke on it without any modification to the barrel?

I think they may be one piece barrels from the factory. You should be able to have a gunsmith thread the inside of the barrel you have to take an aftermarket one.

oh well looks like no bad *** choke for me, dont wanna do the whole gunsmith or buy another barrel for it.

A PG only 500 does not fit the definition of "shotgun" because, it's not designed to be fired from the shoulder. Also, the breacher brake you are refering to is not a choke. It's just a muzzle device.

If its not designed to be sholder fired then why did mine come with a montecarlo style buttstock.So what about this muzzle device can i get one without any gun smithing if i have no threads inside?

Sorry, I was thinking of the PG only 500s. I'm 99% sure that the breacher muzzle devise does not use the choke threads. You might want to call Mossberg and ask them how you can get one installed on your barrel. I'm reasonably sure that they can point you in the right dirrection or sell you a new barrel.

To top it off you cannot just buy the barrel b/c if you notice it is the only 'Hybrid' Mossberg 500. It has a mag tube cap like the 590 but the bbls do not fit the 590 b/c the position of the bbl band. Get it parkerized or duracoated if you don't like the blue.
