Mossberg's website seems to claim that the stocks on all the 930 spx models are adjustable with a set of included spacers. Is this true? Any 930 owners, your thoughts or experience? I'm mostly interested in adjustable LOP.

930 spx stocks adjustable?
So um... moon labia or something.Tags: None -
No spacers for adjusting LOP came with my SPX, just ones to adjust comb/heel. I don't think there are any adjustable-LOP stocks for 930's out there. I was wondering about that too.sigpic

Mossberg's specs are strange on their site. The model that comes with the choate stock (85370) has a lop of 13" and a total length of 39.5". The version with standard stock (85360) has a longer lop of 14" and a shorter total length of 39". Since they both have 18.5" barrels, where the heck is that extra .5"So um... moon labia or something.Comment

I have both stocks and I just measured them side by side: If anything, the choate stock is shorter by no more than 1/16" compared to the OEM one.
Those promised spacers would only be for increasing the LOP, the spring assembly sets a minimum of stock real estate. Any shorter and the current stocks would have the spring assembly colliding with the recoil pad.
I'm kicking around the idea of calling them tomorrow and asking about the spacers and the discrepancy in measurements.sigpic

I don't mind the stock so much, it's just that it has what looks like a .75" spacer in it that sounds like it can't be removed. It just sits there taunting us. Oh well, 13" lop sounds decent. Edit: wait, kiloechovictor actually measured and they're about the same as the standard... Oh well, that fake spacer still bothers me.Last edited by shortround1; 10-04-2010, 12:23 AM.So um... moon labia or something.Comment
