Any one have a Winchester SXP?

I've been looking for a new pump for HD. I've fired 870's and Mossbergs and they are quality arms, but handled a Winchester SXP at Sport's Authority and it fit me like no other. I'm disappointed to find that they make these in Turkey nowadays and am a little concerned about durability.

Does anyone have one of these (or even shot one) that they can comment on? Stories of first hand experience is what I'm really looking for.

(I pretty much know that Remingtons, Mossbergs, Benellis, Ithacas, etc. are great SG's. I don't need encouragement to buy one of these.)

My room mate has one, They are really nice, the fit, finish is great - and the action is smooth as any other - his is a turkey and is a clay's worst nightmare.
you don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.

I have shot one. It was really nice shooter. Fit and finish is good. Also extremely rare to find a chrome lined barrel on a cheap shotgun so that's a plus. I eventually decided against getting one because I wanted a pistol grip stock. That's one thing I couldn't find for the new Turkish guns. It did cycle smoother than any of my 870's though. I am in a 10 day wait for an original 1300 defender now.

Thanks for the responses, it's tempting.

So, a pistol grip for a 1300 won't fit the SXP? Bummer. Not sure that I want a pistol grip, but I was hoping that accessories for the 1300 would also fit the SXP.

Some basic accessories will. Like you can get a magazine extension, but they changed the receiver at the tang. There was earlier editions that still have the older style receiver. Easy way to check is go look at the one you handled again. If it has a v notch in the rear it takes the 1300 stocks. I have also heard that 870 stocks will fit the newer receiver. I haven't physically seen it done though. you could always buy the cheapest pistol grip like 12.99 from midway and check.
