Knoxx Specops Stock

Hey shooters, does anyone have any experience with the Knoxx Specops Stock? I was told that it significantly reduces recoil, good for a tactical situation. This is not spam, I'm asking for an opinion.

Ive only heard good things about them....Everyone Ive talked to say they reduce recoil but good luck finding one especially if you have a mossberg

Everything you heard about it is true. I have one mounted on an 870.
Recoil is still there specially when I shoot a 3 incher but not as bad as a regular stock. I was able to compare this with a Mossy with a regular stock.

It's worth the money, I got mine from ebay and it came with the saddle.

On the Mossberg, I have read on this forum that the safety is more difficult to use. On recoil, I have read good things about it. I ordered one from Brownells and it has been on backorder for over a month now.

Yeah I've only heard good things about them, But like Proraptor said they are hard to find.
You may want to keep an eye on Ebay or GunBroker

With the Mossberg and the Safety, you will run into that with any kind of Pistol grip
But I have got used to it with my Mossberg and it's ATI Stock

Yes! Get one!

You will not be disappointed. Money well spent. It significantly reduces and redistributes the recoil to more of a soft push. You can shoot 12 gauge all day. Even shooting one handed is not difficult.

Here's my Mossberg 500 with it on, I love it! I'm going to get the breachers grip one too, that's the one that's just the pistol grip without the stock.



PS. The safety is easy to use, you just have to practice with it. I use my trigger finger to switch it. The only pain is hitting the slide release with gloves on, but again, with practice it became second nature. BTW, I used the stock and the EoTech on my issued M500 in Iraq and there were many a jealous persons out there!!!

I have one on my winchester 1300. It does a great job of reducing the felt recoil but i think you get a bit more muzzle rise. I can shot 3in bucks all day long and not be any worse for the wear. One thing that is really interesting is that the way the stock collapses to suck up the recoil it is independent of the gun so the gun moves back into the stock about an inch when you fire. this leave the breach open about a 1/4 in. when the gun moves forward. This takes a bit of practice because if you move the slide forward it will lock and you will have to hit the release to chamber the next shell. but once you get the hang of it you can burn through shells like crazy sense the breach is already broke and only a little pull back is all thats needed to get the shell out and the next one in .

Fantastic amounts of recoil reduction... you can use either of these monsters... Or #00 buck, or #7.5 bird... or whatever... and it's hard to tell the difference, even shooting all day... or in my case sometimes all weekend with the guys...



Note: This is the Knoxx SpecOps Stock, w/optional Rubber Grip (Knoxx Handall) w/optional shell carrier (Knoxx Powerpack) w/optional Limbsaver (Limbsaver for Knoxx SpecOps).

As for tactical class, it worked very well... the shell carrier is a major plus.

BTW... as noted by this second picture:



I noted, I didn't really like the shell carrier when I go target shooting... SO. I talked with Knoxx, and they sold me a 2nd (rear adjustable portion of the stock w/another Limbsaver on it). So I can swap barrels, and also easily swap between w/Powerpack (shell carrier) or with just the normal SpecOps stock.

Also if you can't find them anywhere, you can buy them direct - just call um, great people great customer service.

Wonder if I should bug them for stock options... I think I spend too much time talking about how I like them... well... except their install procedure for the Powerpack sucks rocks... but otherwise they are great!

The NRS (No Recoil System) is a Specops without recoil reduction. This is why the NRS is about 1/2 the price.
