    Mossberg-made 870 barrel replacement

Does anyone have experience with these? Particularly the 18" home defense version?

Fits fine shoots fine but other than the blue finish I dont think any of the other ones match the 870 finish. Id rather spend 10 more dollars and get a barrel off gunbroker from Aippi.

I can not undestand why anyone would even consider an After market 870 when the 18.5" parkerized police, bead sight with fixed I/C choke retails for $101 from Remington and can be found for less if you look. What does that 18" Mossberg barrel cost?

The Mossberg made 870 barrels are okay. Fit is good, they shoot fine, finish blows... even against an Express, IMO. The draw on them is that they can be had for sometimes half of what a Remington made barrel will set you back if you buy new.

But I'd rather spend the extra money and get an OEM barrel.
