    Remington 1100 20 Ga.

I've got a Remington 1100 semi-auto 20 ga. The interseptor latch gets in the way and prevents me from loading rounds into the magazine, and it does when the bolt is either in the forward or rearward position. Also, whenever there is more than one round in the magazine and fired I get 2 shells coming out of the magazine. It looks like the interceptor latch is not working properly.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

    Thanks

There should be a spring that pushes against the "tail" of the interceptor latch. The spring may have been trapped behind the interceptor latch or the spring may be broken. If the spring in behind, you may need a thicker interceptor latch retainer.

The spring for the interceptor latch is in the correct spot because there is a channel in the interceptor for the spring.

I got to looking at it more and the schematic and is there anyway the disconnector could get worn or bent just from usage?
