Firefield shotgun flashlight and mount at Big 5

I bought one. It looks nice and the light works great. It is well worth the $29 sales price. A heads up though, if you have a magazine extension than runs the length of barrel it will not fit because of the integral rail and if you reverse it and try to put the rail on the magazine it will not fit that way either.

I just saw the ad for this in the paper today and was planning on buying one tomorrow...pressure switch and rear button turn on? It doesnt say, but appears to have a wire coming off the back in the picture. I searched around online and it appears that particular combo with the clamp included is a Big 5 special, but most places sell the p4 light alone for $30-$40. Also it says UP TO 130 lumens...first off, what the hell is a lumen? Further, I really dont care, so I'll just ask does it light up a dark room pretty well? Thanks

A lumen is a measurement of the power of light perceived by the human eye.

Pretty bright. I can use my cheapo 95 lumen light to light up a pitch black room and comfortably take down my 930 without losing small parts. I've seen some weapon lights go up to 700 lumens.

Some people may or may not have problems mounting it depending on their particular SG/extension, I found it here:

You can't use it, as it was intended. So how can it be well worth the sale price

GARBAGE GARBAGE GARBAGE!!! Just bought it and was all excited when I got home to set it up. I put in the battery, and pressure switch DOES NOT WORK! Regular button on/off does however, so I figure oh well I wouldnt use the pressure switch anyhow. I then go to mount the clamp and it wont fit on my mag tube in any way on either side because the part where the bolts mount wont clear the space between the barrel and tube. This is a bone stock Moss 500 folks, nothing exotic here. Pissed, and now have to take time out of my day to go all the way back to Big 5 and return the POS.

Well I got to agree GARBAGE if it don't fit on a shotgun. I bought one today and worked hours trying every which way to make it fit. Even went to the h/w store and bought longer 4-7x12mm socket head screws to see if I could make it fit. Just no way. Too bad I really liked the price and if the mount worked looks like it would be a great deal. But at the moment is just a waste of my time now to have to return it.

The light was very bright. The pressure switch and local button both worked perfectly. The finish is nice. It looked good. There was no problem with it except for the fact that it require a bare barrel to fit right. If you have a vent or a magazine extension that is as long as the barrel it isn't going on. They just bubba'd it up to much with those rails they built on it. I was going to take it back to Big 5 but I found an ATI magazine clamp on eBay that should do the trick and bought one of them.

ATI shotgun accessories should be avoided. Save your money and buy it right the first,, umm second time.
