Benelli Nova Pump?

Hey All, I am looking for a 20 gauge pump to use as a all around gun, (Clays, primarily skeet, with maybe a few doves thrown in) and saw the ads for the Nova pump and was interested in their mechanism.. Anyone have one and if so what do you think? I tried the Search but got everything But a Benelli***

I have a Benelli Nova in 12 ga. and love the gun. It will not disappoint. We are fortunate to have many choices in fairly good guns these days and it makes the decision difficult.

The Benelli Nova has a slightly longer pump stroke than the 870 but is also just slightly smoother.

The Nova has a larger ejection port area than the 870 and it has been my experience from shooting both that the 870 is more prone to have a shell hang up in the ejection port. I have never had a shell hang up in the Nova, period. I have had it hang up in an 870 on more than one occasion. Not a jam per se but none the less something you had to clear out before cycling the next round.

The larger ejection port on the Nova makes it easier to drop a single shell in on the fly than the 870. I do it for trap all the time and the Nova is much smoother and easier to do this with.

I paid a little over $400 for my synthetic Nova (28" barrel) in camo. It has been bullet proof. Always shoots. Never has jammed or misfired. I don't care if it gets dirty. It cleans easy. I wouldn't be afraid to use it as an oar if needed. It will chamber 2 3/4 to 3 1/2" shells.

I have a nova in 12 gauge that I picked up new for about 275 from big 5 sports. Its been great all around with no significant issues. It hit me in the shoulder pretty hard but a $20 limbsaver made a huge difference.
