Streamlight TLR-2 On Remington 870 Express Tactical

I was wondering if anyone knew if this mount fit the Remington 870 Express tactical w/ a TLR-2 Light?

I'm assuming it can since it wraps around the mag extender tube but wanted to make sure before I jumped on it. And if it does work... anyone w/ a similar setup... does it work well?

hmmm interesting. That's a bummer, I was hopping the clamp directly on the extension tube would work. Is this confirmed to not fit?

Also I don't use a sling since this is a home defense and recreational shotgun so no issues there.

I think the shotgun model I have already has the remington tube clamp installed correct?

If that's the case the MT clamp would work well? Also anyone have an opinion if 6 slot rail vs 3 slot rail for the TLR-2?

I Have the TLR-1 for my Glock. As soon as I get a hold of $75, I'm going to get this for my 870 Express.

It looks stronger and more rugged, IMO.

The cdmgear is plenty rugged trust me. Are you intending to use your barrel as a sledgehammer? That's the only way I see an advantage for the Mesa Tactical, and trust me I love mesa products. As heavy as an 870 already is, I would rather have a lighter mount that is still EXTREMELY solid

Our clamps are made out of the same material, 6061-T6 aluminum. Our clamps are just lighter.
If you product is the same material as Mesas' clamp, How is it lighter? Granted, I haven't never held either one to compare. But I will take you word for it...

I do like the idea of one screw to remove/install on the BMT. One less screw I have to worry about.

Being cheaper....You probably sold me on the BMT. Well done!

The cdmgear light clamps are top quality. Scott is very passionate about his products and stands behind them. I highly recommend these clamps.

thanks for the link, that's certainly a plausible solution too. I wonder which would work better for the TLR-2's switches

you got a little toggle switch to use light, laser, or both. i only have a tlr-1 on mine, and for a shotgun, i feel that is enough. for the range you use it at, the circle of light, is a good impact area.

yeah, For the shotgun the light is all I need. I Primarily bought the TLR-2 for my pistol.
However for home defense I'm going to use the shotgun so this is just to mount it on it. Not sure how much use the laser sight would be for the shotgun

this is what mine looks like, being that i am left handed, the light is on the right. and my feeling is that the laser is not needed, except as a psychological deterent

I know someone with a CDM mount on his 870. Really high quality stuff. Works and looks GREAT. I just bought a MOD-C for myself. I may have to buy another one for my mossberg 590.

I have the CDM gear mounted on my HD 870 with the TLR light and it is GREAT. The CDM guys are good to go in my opinion.
