    Mesa Tactical

Anyone have problems with the degradation of the shell holder? Something along the line of leaving the shell in for long periods of time, as they become loose.

I like the rail, but would go with another brand that didn't have this type of complication.

Also, would the 8-shot one fit w/ Speedfeed IV-S?

It is not the stock that determines if the 8 round will fit but the forend. If you use the Speed feed forend that came with your SF IV-S, which is the Speed Feed LE forend then yes, the 8 round will work.

I use these shell holders on my personal weapons and for the sake of disclosure, I a Mesa Dealer and listed on their web site as one. However, I don't use them because I am a Mesa dealer, I am a Mesa Dealer because I use them and chose to feature them on my custom built shotguns. I like the quality and don't mind the price as it is within reason for quality accessories.

The issue with shell holder is that if you leave the shells in it for months at a time the rubber strip in the back that holds the shells in can set. I try to remember to take the shells out and leave them out for a day and try to do this about once a month but most often it is about 6-8 weeks. I have never had issues with the shells becoming loose.

From one Jarhead to another I am telling you this is quality stuff. I am picky about what goes on my weapons and you will see on my web site that the only shell holder I offer is
    the Mesa Tactical.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.
