Or you could go to home depot and cut a dowel rod. It seriously is just a dowel rod. I could measure mine if you need...

^ Googled it. 1/4" dowel at 9" with some 0-rings to keep it from rattling around. Thanks for the idea, I didn't know it was that simple.
