20", parkerized, wood furniture, 12ga? Pretty much a standard 37 I think, I don't recall any major differences. I've never owned one but shot them quite a bit, in my experiences the 37 is a very sturdy action.

It's also one of the few shotguns that can be slam fired. That's really more of a fun point than anything else, though it can be useful for CQB or drills if you're good with a shotgun and can quickly recover from 12ga recoil. If you didn't pay a ton for it you got a nice gun on your hands, enjoy it!

I love mine...did you get the long mag or the short one??

It's the smoothest pump you'll find.

Your price makes me pretty damned envious...nice work.

        Post some pics. Now, please.

They are great guns. I've carried one at work for 32+ years and also own one personally. They are solid and reliable. Congrats on a great purchase.

THANKS !!! I have had people offer me money for it and I refuse it each and every time. The friend that sold it to me also tried to buy it back, which I refused LOL

My understanding is that they have a very strong design because where you put the shells in are also where the shells come out as well.

I would totally keep it as my friend loves his to death.

+1... great shotgun taken from a Browning design. LAPD and LASD standard for decades and it's hard to argue with it on that basis.

Enjoy it and don't let anyone talk you out of it.

LASD is finally replacing some guns that have been in continous service since the 1960's. They are out 24/7/365 and are still going strong.
