I recently changed the forend to my Mossberg 500 18 1/2" barrel, special purpos. It has the long forend thats not compatible with a side saddle. When put on the new forend (shorter Mossberg brand) the nut wasnt long enough to secure it. What do I do?!

What do you mean "the nut wasn't long enough to secure it"? What size action tube do you have? Is this a Big 5 combo shotgun?
It sounds like your action tube is not long enough for your new forend. That is all I can gather from what you're saying.
Pictures/more info would help.
Good luck. -
the nut doesnt reach the threads on the action tube when i put the new forend on. pics wont help cuz you cant really see it. the original forend sits a bit deeper for the nut to attach.Comment

Can't be 100% sure but yeah, sounds like your action tube is too short for your forend. Measure the action tube in inches.Comment
