    Question About 1100 Values

Hey, so I'm cleaning out the gun safe and I've got some shotguns that haven't been fired in over a decade. I was wondering if you guys had any insight into what they might be worth.

The first is an 1100 Skeet-T in .410 with a Timney trigger (and beautiful wood, for those of you with an appreciation for the finer things. )

The other one's also an 1100 Skeet-T but in 28ga, and with a standard trigger. It's still pretty, but not quite as pretty as the other one.

They were basically safe queens, with the exception of the occasional target match or hunting trip, so each one probably only has about three hundred rounds through it, if that.

    I've also got some Skeet-B's in 12 and 28ga.

    So, any thoughts?

I would say the .410 with the Timney trigger would be in the $800-$900 range if the condition is +++ very good.

The .28 gauge probably around $700.

The buyers will be specific because these two guns shoot shells that are very expensive these days. I'd say if you don't mind shipping to post them on Trapshooters.com or shotgunworld.com. There is a much larger audience there who would appreciate the uniqueness of those two shotguns.

those are fair market prices but they don't take into account the rarity of these 2 models.

i have been into 1100's since 1968 when i got my first one. that is in 9 different states and hundereds of 1100 shooters over the years along with the many i have had.

only once, and it was here in cal , have i ever found those 2 models and the fella had a full set , 410, 28, 16 12. he had no interest in parting with them though he said if he did it would be as the set. i just didn't have that kind of cash.

you have the 2 hardest to find models of the set.

i'll bet the people that have ever seen these models you could count on your fingers.

if you were looking to sell i would check with shotgun news, or an aution house, as a collector would pay high dollar to finish his set.

        Catching my breath,

        I say,

        "Oh, my!"

But, sadly my wife (the family bookkeeper) says,

        "No way!"

        Please post a picture, anyway?

Thanks for the insight, guys! Unfortunately, I've got to let these ones go, so you'll find them in the For Sale forum under the thread "Pair of Remington 1100s For Sale!"

            There are pictures there, too.
