I decided rather stupidly to try to reduce the LOP on my stock .......... did not have the right tools for the job.

sounds like it'd be a funny picture, but bummer anyhow. i'd buy a nice choate stock from midway. if i were keeping my mossberg i'd have bought one already and i'd give you my old one, but i'm selling it in lieu of a 1300. good luck and sorry about the misadventure.

I had a spare ATI collapsible. I rocked it for a while. But when I went to the AR I realized the controls are easier with a standard stock on a mossberg. So alas, I'm de-tacticooled my M500

I cut my 500 stock down to a 12" LOP to see if I'd like the length before purchasing a Hogue short stock and forend. I liked it so I purchased the Hogue set. I made the cut on a miter saw and remounted the recoil pad and ground it to fit. It's not quite perfect but looks good. There are no sanding marks on the stock. My old forend has a 6" picatinney rail mounted at 6:00 as I tried a vertical grip, but didn't like it.

I will ship the set to you for $50. If you are local to the Orange County/Riverside County area for pick-up, I will sell for $40.

heh. I just literally gave away 2 brand new ones a few days ago, both still with the Made in USA sticker on them. And nobody would take them for awhile, even when they were free. Talk about bad timing.

I have one of these ATI pistol grip stocks, new in plastic (disregard the other accessories). I use the folding one, so I've been wanting to get it out of here. Shoot me the lowest price you can find on one and I'll beat it.

i have a m4 4 position stock with 6 shell side saddle. i like it alot, good pistol grip on it. the only problem is the mossberg 500's slide release is on the side of the receiver so pistol grip stocks makes it hard to press it while aiming it.
