Just got back from Stockton and its no big suprise that Todd Bender won the HOA (high overall) Champion for Cali. Todd actually started his shooting career in Cali until he went off to college in Texas. Todd also got inducted into the California Hall of Fame this year. We also had Wayne Mayes and Kenny Barnes shooting this year as well.
Most people that don't shoot skeet don't know who Bender is. Think of Bender as Michael Schumacher to F1 ,Val Rossi to MotoGP, Kobe to the Lakers and you'll have an idea who Bender is.
Anyways enough about the big guys. I had a pretty decent weekend as I ended top 4 in A class for the HOA. I was second going into the last event and I choked and lost by 4 birds for 1st and 1 bird for 3rd ... ARH !!! All in all I had a great weekend with a score of 386 for the 4 guns in HOA. I shot a 97 for 12ga, 97 for 20ga, 99 for 28ga and a 93 for the 410 ....
Maybe I'll practice more and go get'em next year !!!
