Ghost rings on a 500A?

Possible to install factory Ghost Rings sold by Mossberg on a 500A (bead front sight)?

It is possible to have them installed, but it involves drilling and tapping, as well as some soldering. You would have to refinish the gun after installation.

So says the gunsmith that I asked about putting them on my 590. Gave me an estimate of about $200 including the sights, not including refinish.

I decided to pass.

how funny!!! i just bought Ghost rings for my mossy 500a from the same seller. i should get it on monday. i have been tracking it.

to install, i think it will take some work, but something we can do ourselves. at least, i'm going to try it. i'll let you know when i get it done. it won't be for about 2-3 weeks.
