    Shotgun bore issue? Help!

I recently noticied in the paint coming off the bore of my Mossy 500. It's located right at the business end of the barrel, about 1"x1/2" of missing paint. There is no rust, yet, but can this create a future accuracy problem? It is a smooth bore, so I personally dont think it will cause any issues, other then annoyance. Any insight would help, thanks.

Won't affect accuracy or anything else mechanical. Birchwood Casey makes a touch up paint in gloss and flat. Here:

Are you talking about the INSIDE of the bore?

If so, it's not painted. It might be blued and that would be wearing off. It's nothing to be concerned about. Just oil the bore when you clean, if you're going to store it.
