    Saiga 12 question..What is this?

    What is this pin (in the plastic bag) that comes with the Saiga 12?

    LOL! brother iv been wondering now for awile as well
    i just keep it in my case untill i know what its used for.

        Dang, I was wondering the same thing. Came with my Saiga 7.62 also. After looking at the rifle the only conclusion I can come up with is that it is a punch/drift!?

        Not saying that is the right answer but it was the only thing I could think of.

                      No, on a standard AK that pin is used to remove the firing pin and extractor. They are both held in by 2 small pins and that is what that pin in the cleaning kit is used for. Every AK cleaning kit has those tools.

                        the flat blade tool thing is also the up and down adjustment tool for the front sight on AK and SKS used in conjuncture with the metal tube that holds everything. The tube has a slot where the flat tip part fits turning the two parts into a T handle front sight pin tool
