Are 18" barrels allowed at Chabot

Someone asked if they allow shooting 18" barrels on Chabot's trap range.

    Anybody have the answer?

NO. Your barrel has to be over 20." They do not say how much over 20" it has to be, but I would guess it would be at least a 1/2" or more. I have a 20" barrel with a screw-in choke. When I use an extended choke the overall length is 21."

I wonder what the rationale is for that.

Funny if they don't permit 20-inch barrels at Chabot, since Pacific Rod & Gun Club have a 20-inch minimum.

Many ranges require that they be shot shoulder mounted. So no pistol grip shooting from the hip.
