rossi double barrel problems.

My buddy picked up a rossi double barrel coach gun and I noticed immediately that the hammers fall short of the firing pins on each side. I'm not familiar with double barrels but is this something that needs to be adjusted? This gun looks damn near new but the hammers don't fall in the right place. It's double triggers as well.

After taking a look at it I'm thinking that the hammers are just there to cock a internal striker fired mechanism. I'll have to go test her out.
