    Stoeger 12 guage.

Have a Stoeger with pistol grip, would like to make some modifications.

Would like to get feedback from you guys.

    1. Mercury recoil reducer in stock, does it help?

    2. Limbsaver?

    3. Magnaport the barrel? Pros/Cons.

    4. Extend tube to increase mag capacity from 4 to 6, prefer 7 but don't want lower tube longer than barrel which is 18.5 inch.

Right now all I have is a bead for a sight. Would consider having a rail installed. Any suggestions for improved sights?

Gun is a self defense gun, figure I will be using either OO buck or slugs.
Gonna stick with 2.75, the 3 inch shells really are like "Oh ****".

    Thanks guys.

yes, very much but can be pricey

    2. Limbsaver?

reasonable and will cut 50% or more recoil

    3. Magnaport the barrel? Pros/Cons.

costly and very little felt difference

    4. Extend tube to increase mag capacity from 4 to 6, prefer 7 but don't want lower tube longer than barrel which is 18.5 inch.

should be 5- 2 3/4 as is. cost for getting 2 more rounds is questionable.

be carefull spending $800 in time and money on a $300 shotgun. original retail cost is irrelevant as it fell 50% when you walked out the door.

sounds like you are honest about your pump beating the daylights out of you which all do. most are just too macho trying to prove to everyone how tough they are to admit it.

limbsaver will be the best way to go at the best price
