What to use to secure a pressure switch

I just wanted opinions on how I can secure a pressure cord/switch to my Mossberg 500. I tried securing it with zip ties to the forend but when I bring the forend back, the zip ties rub against the bottom of the barrel and stops it from racking fully. Anyone use a pressure cord in a similar fashion? Care to share how you secure it? Thanks.

BTW: I ask because the velcro that came with it keeps sliding off when racking the shotgun.

That's actually what I was using. I should've said "velcro-tape" instead of velcro in my post above.

I read that 3 times before I hit Ctrl+F to find where you said velcro, wow
        sorry
I'd try better glue , or maybe fishing line

          Haha...it happens.

The fishing line sounds like it'd work. So far, I kind of solved my problem by using black zip ties and not tightening them so much...still holds the cord (loosely) and doesn't let it go through. It looks a bit ghetto, but since they're black zip ties, it's not easily noticeable.

When I buy my 1st firearm (shotgun) I'd like to mount my Surefire up front under the barrel/mag with a pressure cord switch also. Mainly because some say the Surefire forend weapon light and Knoxx SpecOps stock don't mix. We can try using this http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=150414 attached to this http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/...2/prrfnbr/1128 or something similar and cheaper?

Yeah, that's pretty interesting. Could work. So far, I can't wait to take mine out to the range to test out how it holds up against 00 buck and slugs. With the velcro-tape, it held up with birdshot, but with 00 buck, the pressure cord slid off the velcro tape.

I plan on doing this if the knoxx bothers me. Got the ideal from ar15.com shotgun pic tread.

SureFire M70 railed forend w/ Magpul textured covers and a mounted light. Wont have to worry about the pressure cord extending or stuff.
