    hi viz sight.

Hey all I was wondering if any of you shotgun enthusiasts have tried the the hi viz snap on front sight, or something similar. I've been using a bead sight for awhile now and I just want faster target acquisition. I understand the idea that the target should be the focus, but the stock bead sight is just so small it almost gets lost.

I'm mainly trying to figure out if they will stay on the barrel, or go flying off at some point. Thanks!

Edit: this is the one I was talking about

My Hi Viz Comp sight made it through a season of duck hunting without any problems.

Mine uses the magnets to hold it in place, and it lasted exactly one shot on the trap range. Looking at the problem, my Mossberg 500 28" barrel is ported right where the sight slides on. I guess there's quite a bit of pressure blown through those holes.

Another guy there who uses it suggested a thin strip of double-sided tape to secure it.

I use the Hiviz on my 870 that I use for pig and turkey hunting, it works great. Mine has been on for about two years now.

I have this one on my Mossberg 500. Probably the same product as the one OP posted, but with Mil/ LE packaging. Works great. Once it's on, there's no chance of it dropping off by accident: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/himpshsi12ga.html

Thanks for the great input, I ordered one from midway along with a few other things on my list ( May as well right?) Someone also told me that if I was paranoid about it flying off, I could use some heavy duty 3M tape.
