Is the Benelli M1S90 discontinued?

I was at the shop yesterday and noticed there wasn't any M1 Super 90s available. Looking in the catalog did not display the M1, instead there was the M2 S90 on display instead...

The Benelli Website shows the M2 replacing the M1S90.

So, is it discontinued by Benelli?

Anyone have any leads on good prices for a M1S90 in Socal?

Yes it has been discontinued for the M2 and the deals on the M1s was about a year or year and a half ago.

what's the difference between them?
I was in a shotgun class and noticed newer Bennellis are either M4's or M2's. Are M2's better(besides the sights)?

The M2

The M2 has a cryo treated barrel and chokes. The chokes are longer than the M1. The forend is different if you like it better it's better if you don't then it's not. It has a different rate recoil spring than the M1. If you don't get the pistol grip stock, it has their wizbang recoil reducing stock. On light loads I couldn't tell the diffenence.

This is on their field models there could be some other differences on their ghetto blasters.

I have both they are both great.
