I have a mossberg maverick 88 and I recently installed a stock on it and I did have some trouble so I remember banging on it pretty hard but After I installed the stock the shells won't feed from the tube into the chamber. If i manually press the button to let the shells out it will work, but when I rack the pump back it doesn't seem to trip the button anymore. Anyone know how I can fix this or a gun smith in San Jose I can have take a look at it?

My guess is the new front grip (?) you installed is too long or to fat at the rear and likely bumping into the receiver (or wedging against the barrel or ?), stopping the slide from going all the way back to release the shells.
If you go back to the old grip and everything works fine again, then you know the new grip is the problem.

I didn't install a front grip
Just a pistol grip rear stock..

I thought I had done some serious damage to it, thank god it was just the bolt. Why does it do that if the bolt is too long?Comment
