    I Have a mossberg 500 with screw in chokes, i have
    IMPROVED CYLINDER
    MOD CHOKE
    OPEN CHOKE

    Which choke is the best for the Walmart special Winchester slugs?

    none of them, there is no need to choke a slug...unless he is eating the plants in your garden

        Improved Cylinder or less is going to be best with a rifled slug. Sabots would require the use of a rifled choke tube or a rifled barrel for best effect.

        Do not shoot the gun without a choke tube in it.

            A Persuader should have a fixed choke, Improved Cylinder or Cylinder if my memory hasn't gone to crap. No tubes involved or needed. The barrel should be stamped on the left side above the fore end with what sized shells it shoots and how it's choked. My Mossberg 500 says "CYLINDER BORE" and I'd expect your Persuader will be similarly marked.

              Unless you're shooting sabot slugs, you don't want to put slugs through your choked barrel. The full size rifled slugs can shoot through the barrel without any choke, though I've been told that they could damage the choke threads.
