I prefer a standard stock, but for my HD mossberg 500 I replaced it with a Knoxx Folding Stock. It has built in recoil reduction. For rounding corners in the house I can keep the pistol grip setup, which is still fairly long rotation on an 18" barrel. If I have the breathing room for a stock, it folds out with one hand (while the other hand holds onto the pistol grip) and secures a firm stock to shoulder weld.

Oh and I've learned my lesson after practicing with slugs on a Pachmayr Vindicator pistol grip only setup. Holding that night's beer bottle almost wasn't worth it.
