    Remington Repair Service

I bought an 11 year old Remington 870 Super Mag from a friend (cheap) that had a broken ejector assembly. The gun was near mint except for the busted ejector.

I called Remington's service 800 phone number and explained the problem. They sent me a UPS pickup tag (pre-paid). I typed up a nice letter telling them all of the nice things I could think of about Remington and their guns, filled out some attached paperwork, put it all in a box and sent it off to Ilion, Ny.

6 weeks an 1 day later, I got the gun back. Completely repaired and completely refinished, boxed up ALL AT NO CHARGE and I would defy you to tell me it is not a brand new gun.

I can't say more about this service and what it means to actually have a company that goes above and beyond in the lines of customer service. Especially these days where it looks like no one cares anymore about the customer.

I will remember that when the time comes to purchase a new long gun and Remington will be my first choice. You may want to consider that too if you are on the fence wondering what shoutgun or rifle you should buy next.

Early '09 I purchased a new Rem. 1100 G3 20ga. When it arrived I found a very small loose piece, hardly noticable, on the top leading edge of the forearm, which is a laminated "RealWood" finish. Sooner or later there would be an issue with it so I contacted CS and they sent me another forearm and told me to keep the chipping one. Great service.
