longest range of sabot slugs

A question for everyone:

My understanding is that a sabot slug out of a rifled barrel will yield the longest possible effective range and accuracy for a shotgun. Is there any particular gun/barrel/ammo combo that you have used that has achieved the greatest accuracy at the greatest range? I have heard people getting good accuracy out to 200+ yards with sabot slugs out of rifled barrel and 100+ yards with rifled slugs out of smooth barrel. Is there any combo of gun/barrel/ammo that can be effectively accurate out to 300+ yards?

I have a number of smoothbore shotguns now...want to convert at least one into a dedicated rifled barrel slug gun.

I've made reliable results out to 150 yards with sabots. Haven't had opportunity or need to reach out farther. I'd expect that a good shooter with a well practiced gun / load combination could be effective well out past 200.

300+ I wouldn't think would be in the cards unless it's a very efficient projectile, but that's just me. Past 300 yards I'd want to be shooting a rifle.

I want to shoot a slug with smooth-bore out to 300 yards... its just the darn range here doesnt let us shoot slugs on the rifle range. Im sure I can hit the gongs..just have to arc it like...45 degrees or something. haha

That is weird they let us shoot slugs at our rifle range but it we hit the stand we pay the $2 deposit.
