    Remington model 11 question

I have one that will fire, But it won't auto load. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem?
    Thanks Jim

Need to be a little more specific on the nature of the issue.....

** Shell doesn't release from mag tube?
** Action short cycles and doesn't fully eject?
** Ejects but doesn't pick up the next round?
    ** Other?

Is it ejecting? Maybe check your friction rings to make sure they match up to what load you're using. example: rings set to heavy load, and you're shooting birdshot, it might not cycle through.

I was shooting bird shot, It won't eject. Friction ring is at barrel lug end, I believe this is correct for light loads

Can you manually load and eject rounds?

Another thing to try. With the gun unloaded. gun pointed up and stock on the floor, grasp the barrel with both hands and thrust the barrel down to see if it's binding or stuck.

::edit:: also fire some 00 buck and see if that ejects

Barrel is free I will try the 00 buck next trip, I manually had to eject and load it last outing
              Thanks for the info

now for heavy loads of shot you must set the bushings on the mag tube! the spring goes on first, then the friction ring bevel twoards reciever, then the friction band

now for light loads of shot the friction ring goes on the mag tube bevel towards the muzzle then the spring then the friction band.

now for model 11's with cutt's compensater tubes the friction band and spring goes on the tube first, then the spring, then the friction ring bevel towards the muzzle.its all that simple.
