    Pardner Pump 12 ga. Chokes

I'm looking at two different models of the Pardner Pump 12 gauge.

The NP1-P18 has a "Cylinder Bore" choke, and the NP1-2S8 has a "Screw-In Modified".

    What is the difference?

I'm pretty sure the p18 is an 18" barrel.

The NP1-2S8 has a 28" barrel with screw in chokes.

What are you using it for? HD go for the 18" shooting clays/birds get the 28"

Just HD and maybe clays. So does the P18 accept screw-in chokes?

No the 18" model is a fixed Cyl. choke, most 18-19" barrels are fixed either Cyl or Modified.

You may want to consider buying a Mossberg 500 combo. It comes with a 18" and a 28" barrel for about $100 more.

If it's just a toy and you don't care if you can't hit clays the 18" barrel will work fine.

I just want it for HD, but I want to have some fun with it (shooting fruit). I'm not looking to spend a lot hence why I'm looking at NEF, otherwise I'd just get recognized tried-and-true shotgun from a reputable maker.

But since that isn't the case, would a 28" be good for HD? It's only $5 more!

Whatever I end up getting, I can't wait to put a pistol grip on it and shoot some #00!!

28" is not ideal for hd because it's difficult to move around with all that barrel out there.

            But

The 28 with interchangeable chokes is far more versatile for target shooting and hunting.

My thoughts exactly. If the situation were to ever come up, I'd hate to be struggling with a long barrel in the dark!

              Thanks for your help!
