    Mossberg 500A Forearm

i searched and only got more confused then before i started.

i have a big 5 mossberg with the two barrels, from what i can tell it has the maverick 88 style action tube thing or whatever because there is no tube and no nut

what do i have to do/buy to put a different forearm on there that will clear a side saddle?

    thanks guys

You have to get a new slide tube assembly, I got one online for like 40 bucks.

Bingo. I had to get the 7 3/4" action slide assembly and castle nut in order to use a Mako Picatinny forend/Hogue forend.

Look at the Hogue forend, very popular forend for TAC shotguns. Has a nice gripy feel to it, very comfortable.
