    Light mounting options.

Looking to mount a light on my remington 870 HD. What other options are out there besides the surefire grip/lights. I really want a surefire but I'm a lefty and the button is on the other side I don't want to have to fight my gear. I also don't want to add 10 pounds to my gun.

Who makes a nice one thats not to heavy? What I'm really concerned about is the light being able to hold up to recoil.

What lights do you guys recommend to hold up to the recoil of a 12 guage?

            Try this: http://www.candewman.com/clamps.html
I just bought one of the MT mounts for my 1300 Winchester. Mounted the standard Surefire 6P led lights to it, and when holding the weapon, I can manipulate the rear momentary push button easily with my thumb. This mount is reversible to be lefty friendly, easy to mount, affordable, and works well. The seller was a great guy to buy from, the only thing is he's busy so shipping might take 2-3 weeks. I highly recommend one of these styles of mounts since there's no wire and separate pressure pad to get in the way when racking the slide. Or, get one of the replacement forends with the built in picatinny rail, and mount your flashlight to that.

I'm looking for one mount I don't really want to have to mount a tri rail and then a light mount on top of that. Something easy that will hold a surefire G2 to my remington 870.

                  This one http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct...tnumber=667570

Top quality mount but not cheap.

Here is a link to a thread on here with pictures, video, and a detailed writeup/description of using the laserlyte mount on my mossberge with a streamlight TLR-1 light.

NOTE that the laserlyte rail will go on ANY gun with a 1" mag tube, and taht pretty much any light will attach to it.
