I reload shotshells but not for bird shots. Only buckshot and slugs. I calculated over and over and come down to, with: 12g reloaing vs factory shells. You don't save anything at all. Maybe a few cents and with the 25lbs lead shot going for 45-50 dollars and primers going for 5 dollars. Not worth it yet. Other gauges thou, big savings!Originally posted by GottmitunsIt's not protecting the rights of the 1%, it's IMPOSING new laws because of the 1%.Comment

Do you have a special die to reload slugs? I've never seen that done before. I have a MEC600 and reloading buckshot over factory must save quite a bit.I reload shotshells but not for bird shots. Went to a WW in Sacramento and an employee told me that they don't carry ammo anymore. According to the employee (and a sign in the Sporting Goods area), only the WW on the complete far end of town and the one in Woodland still sell ammo.
He then told me that ALL WW's in CA will soon stop carrying ammo....
Is this a load of crap from a misinformed employee?I don't know how political I am, I don't get into all that crap....I just love freedom...

Is this a load of crap from a misinformed employee?Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I previously went to the one in Rancho if I was going to be shooting out that way. Been a while since I was there. This occurred in the newer one in West Sac (I got dragged to IKEA...uugg). There was a sign above the counter that said ammo was only sold at one of the South Sac locations (can't remember which one) and Woodland.
I asked an older gentlemen that looked to be working in the Hunting/Fishing area just to be sure. That's when he stated "...they stopped selling guns in California a while back, soon they are going to stop carrying ammo in California..."
I don't think he works for the corporate office so he may have been talking out of his arse, but I also don't like the idea of going 15 miles in the wrong direction to buy ammo!I don't know how political I am, I don't get into all that crap....I just love freedom...

I just wonder if Walmart has instituted a nationwide policy of de-emphasizing guns and ammo? For example a year ago the Walmart web site featured all of the rifles/shotguns sold by the company. Today it is a frustrating game of "hide and seek" just trying to FIND guns on their site. Being large, profitable and NON-UNION, Walmart has carried a federal government bullseye on its back for a very longtime. With today's Marxist/fascist DC regime in power, Walmart might be thinking PC rather than Winchester.Comment

Yeah, most of the time anything works in a pump. When I had my mossy I shot a crap load of different brands because I just got what I could find. Semis are of course more picky on what kind of ammo they will take. For example the S12s only like federal and will jam if you have the winchester stuff.Originally posted by 69Mach1The virgin requires more work (don't they all
