    Browning O/U question

I have an old Browning O/U.
Is it suppose to only shoot once when you pull the trigger and then I need to move the switch to fire a second round?
Or is it just suppose to shoot twice with two pulls without fideling with the switch on top?
    Hope that makes sense.
    Thanks
    Chris

i beleive the inertia of the recoil into your shoulder cocks the 2nd shot.

( if dry firing) if you pull the trigger and then gently tap the butt into the floor you should be able to pull the trigger a 2nd time so you dont leave it cocked under spring tension

doesnt the top switch choose which barrel shoots first ?

From the looks of the picture you have a Superposed.

Single selective triggers work via recoil (some maybe mechanical, but not a Superposed). In other words when you fire the first shot an inertial block activates the other barrel. The barrel selector can be set to fire the over or under barrel first, as well as actuate the safety.

If you PM me your serial number I can tell what year it was manufactured.

        Thanks guys

The knob behind the lever selects the first barrel. From the picture it looks like it is set for the upper barrel. After you take your first shot you will automatically be able to take the second shot from the lower barrel without shifting the knob.
