    Thinking of a folding stock.

Thinking of getting a side folding stock so my 870 is a little easier to pack in the truck. Anyone use a side folder? If you do what model and how do you like it? I want to keep the option of having a shoulder fired gun thats why I am going for a side folder don't want a collapsing m4 type stock.

I have a cop stock with a recoil reducer, over the top folder wire stock. It's an older one, I don't like it as much as I like the collapsing ones.

Whats a cop stock? Collapsing ones are nice but the only collapsing stock I'm interested in or would even consider putting on my shotgun are mesa tacticals and those are the price of another 870. Knoxx well I don't like em that much. A side folder is really what I'm looking for.

I have shot the Butler Creek side folder that was featured on the Remington 870 special runs a few years ago. It worked fine.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

I've never been in this subforum. I mess around with AKs but I've been wondering about a Saiga 12. Am I not understanding the flow chart or something? It looks like with a mag lock I can have a pistol grip but not a folding stock. I must be missing something.

If it meets the minimum OAL folded then I don't see the problem... but thanks for the thread jack .

Go with a Choate. I have one on my Ithaca 37 and it is rock solid when locked open. It is also the side folder used by our local motor cycle PD. They cost a little more, but much better quality than ATI.
