    Shotgun Not Feeding Next Round?

Hey guys so last couple times I took my Hawk 98(Yes 98 28" field model) fuctions flawless no issues ever.. Few days ago I went out and shot some clays, a round would not feed so I took it apart and loaded again.. It was fine those 7 rounds(holds 6+1) Then filled it up again and shot 2 then wouldn't feed.. Thought it might be weak spring but Took it all apart, spring looks good, lifter looks fine, everything looks fine.. Today I was loading it up a ejecting them to see how common it is and its pretty much every other load... AT RANDOM.. Load a few it wont feed, load all and feeds half, load 1 feeds, load 2 feeds, 3 feeds, 4 doesn't feed, then load 2 again and no feed... Just all around random.. Don't get it.. What you guys think? What contacts and moves the little lifter to release the next round?

You need to look and see what it's doing. Turn it upside down and push the lifter up. Then slowly pump the action and you can see the shell latch get push in as the action starts to bottom out and shell is released. The tip of the shell latch might need to be polish.

Ya i've been checking it out... Seems that the shell latch doesn't move over all the way to let the shell in.. Every time it doesn't load its right on the edge of the shell.. Just needs a little more.. You think a little polish with help it? What exactly moves that shell latch over to load another round? Can't see it move...

Well looks like Scattergun Technologies heavy-duty spring and follower fixed it... Very good quality.. Very happy with the stainless steel spring and high viz follower... 12.49 at Midway if anyone else is interested in new spring/follower or anyone has this problem its probably the first thing you want to try..
