Hawk / interstate 982 would not reload

Any tips? My new interstate 982 would fire, but when I pump it the shells would not reload, seems to be stuck. I took the trigger out, and played with the retension pin, it would sometimes reload, like every other 3-4 pumps

    any help???

      Thanks

      Thanks for the info!!

But I had a diff problem, it would shoot and eject the shell, however,
it would not re-chamber another round, I racked or pumped several times before it would feed another round. I took the gun apart then back together, first few arounds reloaded ok, then again, the shells will stuck inside the mag-tube.

+1 for big5, I brought it back to exchange for a new one

Oh good you exchanged.. Prolem was either spring too soft/hanging up on something or the ejector was a little bent/messed up...

Probably waiting for a bit more info to be posted. Really not enough to go on, and Joe22 posted the only real suitable response.

Glad it worked out - enjoy the new 982!

I was going to respond but it's hard to say without looking at it. It could be the shell latch, the lip of the mag tube or the mag spring. He did the best thing because he could have made it worst by working on it himself.

Anywho, my other shotgun had such an issue, check that the tube is seated well enough and polish out any burs with some steel wool (do not dirty up that receiver!!)

Curious, what is Big 5's exchange policy on firearms?

as long as you have all the papers, 1 yr from the date you purchased the firearm (not the pick up date)...it has to be a factory mal-fuction...pretty much like buying a tire~!!

I noticed, anything goes as long as the manager initials it...discounts even not listed on the ads, refunds, or exchanges, so make friends with Big 5 managers. LOL
