How much slower can you shoot that the op did in his video? The gun is not right. I would contact Remington again and voice your dissatisfaction. They will make it right. You can't have an HD use shotgun not function 100% of the time.

Add me to the list of people who have had this problem with their express. This is embarrassing for a company with the prestige of Remington to put their name on a product that does this. I have to avoid certain ammo and hope for the best. I should polish/hone the chamber myself but I don't want to and shouldn't have to.

Ive had 2 870s, one with a long bird barrel and a shorter HD one like yours, both did the same thing with winchester birdshot and my short HD didnt like winchester or PMC, my 28' didnt like winchester or fiocci.

what ammo are you using? all my 870s and my 1100 liked remington brand, federal and whatever else I ran thru it

No, I don't know if it worked out, I was saying that I only had this problem with federal wally world ammo, I haven't been out too the range since I polished the chamber.

I have put about 400 rounds through the gun, about 250 bulk federal rounds, 100 winchester bulk, and 50 rounds of other stuff like 00 buckshot and slugs.

I think the problem is a combination of the ammo and a problem with the chamber being rough, when I shot clays with my uncle we were using the same federal ammo and his 500 had no problems while my 870 jammed a few times.

Yes keep us updated. My brand new rem 870 is having the same issue with Walmart Value Ammo. It's pissing me off.

Will do, my uncle was supposed to have a surgery this weekend so I didn't think I would have a chance to try it out, but they might reschedule it so I might be able to try it out.

The other lesson to be learned here is "don't use federal bulk 12ga."

I had the same problem as everyone else... Drill and 12ga wire brush fixed it, went to the range again, shot 2 boxes, only one round was a little hard to pull out, but before I was having problems with the extractor slipping off the shell. Seems to work good now. Maybe it's time to buy a Mossberg.

Mossbergs are good shotguns, but if you're going to use a pistol grip Remington ALL THE WAY. Having to polish the bore is a bit irritating though.

BTW, anyone looking for a pistol grip don't try anything else but the speedfeed pistol grip.

Its amazing, it doesn't hurt at all, its the only pistol grip that didn't hurt at all while shooting, overall I think the regular shoulder stock even hurts more than this.
