Mossberg 500 foregrip?

I just purchased a Mossberg 500 12 gauge and was looking into buying the Tac Star "tommy gun" fore grip. But i read that on newer models (since 2009) the forends wont disassemble. What do I do, there is no nut at the end of it to take it off?

If you have one of the one-piece forends that has the action rods pinned to the forend, then you need to buy a replace forend of the older style. Then, you can install a replacement grip on it.

Unfortunately, I don't know which one is the standard length, that the aftermarket accessories are designed to fit on. I do know that others have run into the same problem, so I think there are a couple threads on the subject that might have more info.

I've seen some people need that one and others need the 7-5/8" one. It all depends on the size of the replacement foregrip that you will be installing.

My 500A Big5 Combo needed the 7 5/8" action slide assembly and matching castle tube nut in order to use a Mako Picatinny forend and/or Hogue overmold.

If you need the 6.xx" slide assembly I have a spare with a matching nut if you want to buy it from me.

normaly it is replaced with the 7 5/8th action tube ( the top one) in the picture.
