    Winchester Trap Shooter

I have a Winchester trap shooter, the spring loaded type that you get from WalMart. There a couple of screws that hold the latch onto the aluminum swinging arm. One of those screws fell out rendering the device useless. I can't find any info about this product on Winchester's website. Does anyone happen to know how to get these little screws?

Really?!?! If I walked in and tried to explain this to them... what would I call it so they would know where to point me... is there a special name for this type of screw?

        ....

No. They will give you a big HUH! They do carry a wide range of specialty screws. You should walk in with a size, shape and tread count or just bring the thing with you (if possible)

If you can take the other screw out, take it just about any hardware place and you should be able to match it up. OSH does well at that as they keep the gauges handy on the aisle.

I was afraid it would come to that... hehe... Those suckers are so small, they are hard to screw.... I would imagine unscrewing isn't any easier... LOL!

Get the correct size screwdriver, makes all the difference in the world.

How do those cheap throwers work anyway? Thinking about picking one up so when I head to the desert without anybody to operate the hand-thrower I can still blast clay.

It's not so much the screwdriver as it is holding the screw in place within the confines of the aluminum arm that you are screwing into. The screwdriver comes in from the bottom, but to be sure you get it really tight, you struggle to hold the other side of the screw from twisting as you turn the screw in place... it is hard to put force on it with the way the arm is shaped. Especially with bigger hands such as mine.

The launcher works best on a heavy tire. It is not perfect, but is far and away much better than a hand launcher.

what model # do you use? I was thinking of getting a winchester for skeet or trap.
