I beleive these are legal in California as long as they don't have a pistol grip. If I am wrong please tell me. Does anyone know of any sellers that are willing to ship these to California? And has anyone had any range time with these?

i think shotguns in cali are allowed to have a detachable mag if you have no pistol grip and the magazine can't hold 8 or more rounds

I don't think you could load a fixed mag Saiga12. Aren't they single stacked

I know somebody who has one with a straight buttstock on it..he got it years ago before it was listed I guess.

I wouldn't get one unless it was one of the newest ones with a bolt hold open feature. those kalashnikovs that don't open on empty mags just don't make sense. anyways..I don't think anybody has found a way to do saiga shotguns here.

You'd have to remove the baseplate of the magazine and load from the bottom, which isn't all that hard on a single stack mag.

It'd be a pain, but it'd be worth it.

I had one back when I lived in Illinois. It was fun to shoot and the sight of shotshells flying to the right during rapid fire was interesting. Alas, I had to sell all my KA Illegal toys prior to the move.
