Saiga-12 Pump-action conversion kit?

Solder a plug into the gas block and remove the piston/puck.
Voila... "bolt" action.
That's as close to pump as you can get.

I agree on going with an 870 or a Mossy 500... it'll be cheaper as well, but it does limit your shell capacity, especially with the 18" barrels.
The only advantage to converting the Saiga-12 would be that it would allow you to run 10rd mags (unless you're hunting game that restricts you).

A Saiga would still be infinitely faster to reload than an 870. I think it would be a pretty sweet conversion.

I like that, but the only thing it has over an 870 is the ability to reload quickly. I'd still own one, looks good in photos. Anyone have any experience with a Valtro?

The Valtros were a good concept. Think the mags ran about a 100. They never sold well so feedback on them was little and far between.

Quality was "okay". Nothing to write home about. At least I wasn't too impressed.

Had a chance to buy one last year. The guy wanted $1100 for it. Good luck on finding one as they are not imported into the states anymore from what I understand.

Get a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870. You are only looking at about 2 shot added capacity ( that would be if you used 10 round mags on a saiga.)
Personally if you are looking for a pump action those woudl be my choices as far as bang for the buck

That would be cool if Mossberg designed a 500 series that was mag fed. Becus it would be pump, you wouldnt need a maglock and mag swaps would be fast and easy.. That would be nice. NOT the knoxx sidewinder though. Something factory made. I think i am gonna give Mossberg a call
If they can put a nasty 50bmg muzzle brake, then they can make a mag fed pump..
