What epoxy for XS Big Dot?

Hey all, just got a XS Big dot for my 870. Its says to epoxy it over the existing front sight bead.

Will any old epoxy work, or is there a particular one I should use?

Don't use the quick setting JB weld as it's a weaker bond overall compared to the regular overnight stuff.

I kinda had the same question a while back.

JB Weld is good stuff.

Some folks swear by BLACK MAX. It has elastometers built into it's formula, so it will give a bit when under recoil, insted of being stiff and brittle.

I used some left over ACRA-GLAS GEL from a bedding project I did a while ago, and I was very happy with it. (Look at the tutorial below my signature).

The installation application will also depend on whether it is a ribbed or a non-ribbed barrel...and also what you are going to use it for.

Multi-gunning will have a higher possibility of Ka-Whammying your front sight. Whereas HD or the occasional shooting will be a more reserved use of your weapon.
