    Limbsaver FTW!

So I bought a box of 3.5" Dead Coyote Hevishot for my new Benelli Nova to go along w/ the Carlson's Dead Coyote choke. They go hand-in-hand, right?

Anyways, Black Majik gets wind that I'm shooting super-mags, and he snickers. "Dude, I wanna be there when you touch off that first one. Someone bring a camera." Great.

So I invest in a Limbsaver, hoping it'll save me from actually crying in front of all my friends. Range day comes up, I've got Beetle Bailey, Black Majik, Bruce3 (or was he still at his bench?), and two ASR RO's watching me as I nervously load up the 3.5" Thunder of Zeus round.

    "Pull." Beetle Bailey obliges.

I practically close my eyes as I pull the trigger. BOOM! Miss. More importantly, however, there was no pain. I'm not saying I'd like to shoot hundreds of super-mags, but it was not nearly as jolting as I thought it'd be. Black Majik had me thinking for weeks that it was gonna knock years off my life.

"Man, that was nuthin!" I declare, as shocked as I was pleased.

"That's cuz you have that girlie pad on there," says the RO. Nice. He actually sounds disappointed that a Jackass moment was averted.

Not me. That "girlie pad" was worth every penny, boy. Every last penny.

I learned long ago if it says "Magnum" on the cartridge, I add a Pachmayr Decellerator or a Limbsaver to the gun.

I shot it once as well. It wasn't so bad and really nothing to be worried about. How about you try taking off the limbsaver and then shoot it again? IMO the .416 Win Mag rifle I once shot kicked worse.

May I ask which size/model of limbsaver pad will fit the Knoxx SpecOps? I plan to add one to mine, but I don't know which limbsaver to order.

          Many thanks,

Limbsaver lives up to its name. I had one on my old Mossberg 12 gauge and I loved it.

i just went to walmart and bought the one off the shelf which was a medium. it slips on and is very easily removable if you decide you dont like it or its not worth the 20 bucks.

With the Limbsaver on my Benelli SN, your shoulder doesn't feel anything and it's no longer sore after putting 150 rounds through the gun. Just too bad Limbsaver doesn't make a precision-fit pad for the tactical models.

i put one on my single shot 12ga, you know the cheap NEF Pardner's that go for 120 at big 5. Works like a charm. First time I took out the gun with out the limbsaver, my shoulder was sore after two rounds, now I can go 5-6 rounds no problem at all.

i had one on my Rem700 for a while. was nice and it really took up a lot fo felt recoil. but made shooting long range more difficult.

                          You bunch of wussies, lol!

I bought one for my wife to use on my Rem700 that would hurt just about everybody that shot it. Since the limbsaver, she shoots it without a problem. And even though I take it off and don't care much for it when shooting, I did try shooting with it a few times, and the damn thing does work. It really dampens the felt recoil to your shoulder. They're just pricey for what they are.
